WELCOME TO THE BSA FRONT WHEEL DRIVE CLUB
Established March 1959
Thank you for your interest in BSA cars; as you browse through the various parts of this site you will become aware that this is a club run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. The marque is very special in that BSA (Birmingham Small Arms company) were virtual pioneers of Front Wheel Drive technology in the UK, and made FWD cars, three-wheelers and a few vans between 1929 and 1940.
This club was formed in March 1959 to cater for the needs of owners of these vehicles, which represent some of the first in the world with front-wheel drive, hence our name. In the last few years we have extended a welcome to owners of rear wheel drive BSA cars, who care for and drive many fine examples of these vehicles dating from before the first world war through to the mid-thirties. The club currently has over 200 members in 14 countries with 246 cars spanning 9 different models on the club register.
The club is a member of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs. Formed in 1961, FBHVC represents the interests of the “Older Vehicle Movement” in the UK to Government Departments and authorities.
