Dates are marked (p) – provisional or (c) – confirmed

21st April 2024 (c) Opening Run
Venue: Gilk’s Garage Café, Banbury Road, Kineton CV35 OJZ
Organiser: Victor Lobb – 07506-154532 – victor@thelobbs.f9.co.uk
With the experience of an enjoyable Opening Run last year, we are pleased to announce that this year’s Run will be held on Sunday 21st April, meeting, as last year, at Gilks’ Garage Cafe, Banbury Road, Kineton, CV35 OJZ (a former Rootes Group dealer) at 10:30am.
Our Opening Run coincides with the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Club’s ‘Drive lt Day’, and so we shall be in the company of like-minded enthusiasts! We plan a scenic drive of about an hour to Canons Ashby, a National Trust property, where there are the usual facilities. The route plan will be provided when we meet at Gilks.
Because it would be wise to reserve a table at Gilks (busier than usual on Drive lt Day?) please let Victor Lobb know if you are planning to meet there, throught the contact information above.

Fox House lnn, Longshaw, Derbyshire, S11 7TY
Organiser: Peter Nicholls – 01-422-823380 – editor@bsafwdc.org
The lcknield Run will be held over the weekend of Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June 2024 in the Peak District of Derbyshire. The principal part of the run will be held on the Saturday and will take the form of a scenic drive along minor roads in this very pretty part of the country. Members are invited to attend in a BSA or a modern car, you will be welcome whatever mode of transport you choose.

Meet on the Saturday in the car park alongside the Fox House lnn on the A625, about seven miles south-west of Sheffield city centre (grid reference SK 267803) at 11:00am. Light refreshments (tea or coffee) should be available in the pub.
Members arriving via the M1 from the south are advised to leave the motorway at either junctions 29 or 29A and head towards Chesterfield to pick up the B6051 and the B6054 to arrive at the Fox House lnn in about 20 minutes from leaving the motorway.
The first part of the run will be about 25 miles in length, to arrive at our lunch stop at the Rambler Inn at Edale. l would like to give the pub some idea about numbers, so if you are going to attend, please let me know. Followlng lunch, the second part of the run will be about 35 miles in length, and will finish near Bakewell. We hope to meet up with members in the evening for a meal and a drink at The Crispin in Great Longstone.
lf there is sufficient interest, we will meet up on the Sunday morning near Bakewell for another scenic drive in the south of the county. This will finish at a suitable lunch stop, after which we shall disperse, allowing those attendees who have a long drive home plenty of time to get on their way.
lf you need any more details, contact me by phone or e-mail (see contacts above). Please let me know if you would like to attend for either of the two days or both. lf you need to book overnight accommodation, I would suggest that you book early as this is a popular tourist destination and places fill up fast.
