B.S.A. Front Wheel Drive Club Car Registry

Researched by Graham Skillen Notes on the Register

Threewheeler Chassis – Where a chassis number is not listed the date of Registration has been used to place the car in the list. (See the table of chassis numbers versus dates). As some vehicles may have remained unsold for a time this means the actual chassis number may be earlier/lower than the placing. Chassis numbers arc generally taken from the vehicle. Where a discrepancy exists with the logbook or data plate the actual chassis number has been taken. 4-Cylinder cars only have a D suffix which is not shown in the listings. Engine V-twin cars have the prefix SH, suffix D, thus SII….D, the D not being shown in the listings.
4-Cylinder cars have prefix F and suffix L, thus F….L.

Registration Dates – These are either taken from the logbook or estimated using Glass’s Guide. Note that cars may have had their registrations changed legitimately, so the date of the vehicle is not always the same as the registration date.

Model – Generally as supplied to the Registrar, and may not always reflect the appearance ofthe vehicle.Owners BSAFWDC membership number is added in brackets, where known, plus country if Non-UK. NK = Not Known.

History – Ex-owners are listed with the earliest first. The geographic reference relates to the current owner.

Reference – The date usually refers to the date of acquisition by the present owner, not necessarily the date of the information.

Y/N – This refers to existing Yes or No. Anything before about 1970 is considered a No if nothing is known since that date.

The search facility will search on all fields i.e Registration number, Model (TW, T9, S1, S2 etc )
